Community & Giving Back

CRW was honored to be a part of the build-out of Kahauiki Village, a public/private partnership project to house homeless families spearheaded by Duane Kurisu and his team. CRW donated the manpower and trade skills to install more than 60% of the standing seam metal roofs onto the homes. Our men were able to complete the full installations in about 2 weeks. Knowing that the roofs being installed would shelter multiple homeless families gave our men a great sense of pride and purpose.

CRW supports the Children’s Discovery Center as an investment into the next generation. The CDC is committed to enriching the lives of children culturally and educationally on both a local and international level. Guy Akasaki serves on the board of the CDC as an active member for the past 4 years.

CRW is proud to be a supporting partner in a nationwide industry effort to adopt all 165 roofs of the stand-alone Ronald McDonald Houses. Oahu has two homes that will be taken care of my CRW through preventative maintenance and minor repairs. The Ronald McDonald House Charities help families with critically ill children stay together and near hospitals providing the medical care.

CRW has participated in several fundraising initiatives and school supply drives in partnership with The Salvation Army and its Young Professionals Arm Echelon.

In July of 2019, the Nanakuli Hawks 12u little league baseball team beat the odds, earning their way to participate in regionals on the mainland in hopes that they would make it to the world series. Two of our employees were father and grandfather to one of the kids on this team and CRW was honored to support the fundraising efforts to send them to the mainland.
